AirMaXX – the Basic Apparatus[ Ergonomics & Comfort for Safety ]

	The MSA AirMaXX SCBA preset combines premium ergonomic features with advanced technology to provide the best experience in SCBA wearability available today. The ergonomically designed and optimally balanced AirMaXX backplate is adjustable to fit all body sizes. This works in conjunction with the premium S-swing shoulder pads and swivelling hip belt to distribute weight evenly while increasing freedom of movement. Stress and fatigue are reduced as you perform your job without restrictions.

	The alpha SingleLine pneumatic system integrates warning signal, second connection and gauge in an easily accessible manifold at your shoulder. AirXpress

To meet the specialised demands of industry and emergency response, the MSA AirXpress comes in a combination of two configurations: AirXpress Industrial and Fire. The configuration includes:

BD mini [Short Duration Compressed Air Breathing Apparatus]

The compressed air breathing apparatus MSA BD mini, which now features a redesigned, maintenance-friendly pressure reducer, is especially suited for short duration work in confined spaces.

Its compact size and versatile design permit the use of various carrying modes. Thus the apparatus is ideal for sites that can only be reached through narrow entry openings or for work in confined spaces.

Of course, the BD mini can also be carried on the back like a “large” compressed air breathing apparatus and can also be used for brief explorations or inspection tours.

With a coupling for compressed airline breathing apparatus [available as accessory], the BD mini can be connected to a stationary air source. This permits the operator to remain at the worksite for longer durations. The BD mini supplies air for the approach, as well as for the return.

RespiHood

Rescue hood with constant air flow to safe people out of dangerous atmospheres using the second medium pressure connection on a BA. RespiHood for standard couplings, RespiHood F for Stäubli couplings.

Compressed Air Cylinders

MSA steel and composite compressed air cylinders meet a wide range of applications, needs, and budgets.

Composite cylinders with aluminium liner, over wrapped with carbon and glass fibres, are 50% lighter than the traditional economic steel construction. MSA offers cylinder versions with 200 (Steel) and 300 bar service pressure and 2 to 9 litre capacity. Additional safety is provided by a full choice of valve options such as integrated gauge, ratchet hand wheel to prevent unintended closing and flow restrictor in case of valve breakage. All valves are according to EN 144-1 and 144-2.

Msa Scba Protective Cover And Transport Case

Carrying case for all BA sets incl. face mask, demand valve and one or two cylinders (up to 6,8l). Features rollers for comfortable transportation accomodates any BA set with up to two cylinders nests cater for rattle-free storage rollers for best manoeuvrability sturdy casing . For protection of composite cylinders: protective cover of non-flammable material. In black with reflective printing or yellow. For SCBA: transport case for complete apparatus (BD96 incl. 6 l/300 bar cylinder, mask, lung governed demand valve).

ICU-S ICU is – the Electronic Control Unit for Breathing Apparatus

	The MSA ICU replaces the simple standard pressure gauge but incorporates a gauge in addition to the electronic features. Furthermore, the MSA ICU has a motion sensor which gives alarm if the user is motionless thus facilitating locating and helping the fire fighter.
